10 Feng Shui Cures: That Will Transform Your Home!

In the ancient art of Feng Shui, the arrangement of your environment can significantly impact the flow of energy, or Chi, in your space. When energy becomes blocked or stagnant, it can lead to various challenges, including negative influences, obstacles, and a lack of harmony. Fortunately, there are simple and practical Feng Shui cures and remedies that you can implement to address these issues and enhance the energy in your home. Applying these feng shui cures can transform your living space into a sanctuary of positive energy, promoting health, wealth, and harmony.

Streamlining Feng Shui

This post is part of a series that offers straightforward Feng Shui cures you can effortlessly apply in your home—no need for prior Feng Shui knowledge or complex Bagua charts. I’ve simplified Feng Shui because, like many, I found the initial process overwhelming, especially when dealing with various home shapes and missing areas. However, there are numerous things you can do without diving into intricate details.

1. Clear Clutter to Unblock Energy Flow

Start by decluttering your space to remove any obstacles blocking the energy flow. Clutter can trap stagnant energy and prevent new opportunities from entering your life. Keep your home organised and free from unnecessary items to promote a sense of clarity and openness.

2. Use Mirrors to Reflect Positive Energy

Mirrors are powerful Feng Shui cures that reflect and amplify positive energy throughout your space. Place mirrors strategically to expand narrow hallways, brighten dark corners, and bring more light into your home. Avoid placing mirrors directly facing the bed or reflecting cluttered areas to prevent the amplification of negative energy.

3. Harness Crystal Energy

Feng Shui has a practical side, too. For instance, you can use Crystals to attract and amplify positive energy. Simply place rose quartz or citrine on your desk in your bedroom to attract love or promote creativity. You can also carry crystals or wear them as jewellery to benefit from their energetic properties throughout the day. I always venture out with my trusty green agate crystal bracelet. Its soothing presence keeps me grounded and protected wherever I go.

4. Plants for Natural Healing

Embrace the healing power of nature with Feng Shui. Incorporating plants into your living space purifies the air, boosts oxygen flow, and contributes to a sense of well-being. Choose plants with rounded leaves and gentle shapes to foster a soothing atmosphere, as spikey leaves can evoke tension in Feng Shui practices.

Strategically place plants such as the money tree, rubber plant or bamboo in the southwest area of your home to amplify wealth and prosperity. While this placement is most potent, if light conditions are less than ideal, these plants can thrive elsewhere in your home while still attracting wealth.

Be mindful of placement; certain plants thrive with minimal light, while others require sunlight. Place plants in areas where you spend the most time to enhance productivity, and creativity, and boost overall vitality.

5. Feng Shui Cures with Essential Oils

Enhancing positive energy through aromatherapy is a potent method in Feng Shui for harmonising your living environment. Incorporate essential oils like lavender, bergamot and clary sage to infuse your home with a calming ambience that promotes relaxation. I blend these essential oils with carrier oil to create soothing roll-ons that promote relaxation and improve sleep quality.

For a refreshing atmosphere, use citrus essential oils such as grapefruit, lemon, lemongrass and lime.  These oils can uplift your spirits and energise your space. I make cleaning sprays infused with citrus essential oils, leaving a fresh aroma lingering in the air. My recipe combines 400ml of purified water with a dash of Ecover washing-up liquid, followed by approximately 30 drops of citrus essential oil mixed in an amber glass spray bottle.

6. Balance Yin & Yang

Achieving harmony between yin and yang energies is fundamental in Feng Shui for balance in your surroundings. To achieve equilibrium, blend yin energy’s soft, feminine qualities with yang energy’s solid and masculine characteristics. Yin energy is often associated with curved shapes, deep colours, soft textiles, natural materials, and gentle lighting. In contrast, yang energy is characterised by vibrant hues, angular forms, bright illumination, and hard surfaces. By integrating yin and yang energies into your space, you can create a harmonious environment that supports overall well-being and vitality.

7. Activate Prosperity

To invite wealth and abundance into your life, consider incorporating specific Feng Shui symbols of Prosperity, such as the Chinese money plant, the lucky money frog, or the lucky bamboo. Place these symbols in the wealth corner of your home, the southeast, to enhance financial success and Prosperity.

8. Peaceful Sanctuary bedroom

Establishing a sanctuary within your bedroom is important to rest, devoid of distractions and negative influences. Choose soft, soothing colours, natural bedding, and soft lighting to create an atmosphere for restful sleep and rejuvenation. Eliminate electronics and clutter from the bedroom to create a sense of calm. When arranging your bed, position it to allow you to see the door without directly aligning with it, promoting a sense of security. Additionally, place the bed against a solid wall with a supportive headboard, and don’t position mirrors to face the bed, as they may disrupt peaceful sleep.

9. Activate Career Success with Feng Shui Cures

Positioning your desk strategically can significantly boost your career success. Opt for the power position, where you face the door rather than a wall. This allows you to anticipate opportunities and potential challenges, akin to how a president commands a room from a commanding position. Invest in a supportive chair with a headrest to provide optimal comfort and support. Consider this chair your throne, symbolising your authority and ownership of your workspace. Just as a president wouldn’t face a wall, positioning yourself in the power position empowers you to seize opportunities and assert your leadership role effectively.

10. Maintain Balance and Harmony with Regular Feng Shui Practices

Remember, Feng Shui is not a one-time fix but an ongoing practice of maintaining balance and harmony in your environment. Regularly assess your space, make adjustments as needed, and stay mindful of the energy flow in your home. Incorporating these simple Feng Shui cures into your daily life can create a more harmonious and supportive environment that nurtures your well-being and success.
